September 2024 Pickleball Board Meeting Minutes

Iowa County Pickleball Agenda

Sept. 10, 2024

Special Guest (Mindi) : “Chuck” from the Des Moines Metro Pickleball Club.

Started with 15 members–DesMoines Metro club

Membership fee—was $25 for 2 years

Members set the fee and now it is $50–Perks to being a member is “free” access to special events and some free lessons.

Open play events–free

“Halloweener”

“Social Crazy Eight”---play around with all 7 other players and the one with the highest score moves on.

Gala–big fundraiser(Bingo, silent auction,)

Christmas party

Silver Swiss–players on a team have to be at least 20 years apart.

Pickle-Palooza–February

Post Tension concrete with the right top and prep work will last 30-40 years!!!
